Heather met Rocky when he came to Metropolis to help Ratchet stop the Tyrrhanoid invasion. She was interested in him from the point she saw him hop out of his space cruiser. She had to, of course, get his attention too. She had attempted this by casually walking by him numerous times. She must not have noticed the invasion since she almost got blasted by a Tyrrhanoid laser cannon the last time she did so. To keep the casualties low, Rocky dove at her, knocking her out of the incoming fire. At this point, he finally did notice her, "Uh, you do know you almost got turned into toast out there, right?" Heather forgot what she wanted to say, "Umm, I hadn't noticed. Y-you want to come to visit later?" Rocky wasn't sure what to say,"I don't think now is the time." He forgot about her for a while. Later, when Heather realized who he was working for, she enlisted in the Galactic Rangers to see him again. Rocky found it a bit odd.
Even now, even though the two have gotten quite close, he finds it awkward to talk about how they met.
